Casey

1986 to Dec 24, 2002

Casey My mother passed away in 1991 and my step-father followed her two years later in 1993. I inherited his four cats and my nephew who had been living with them when my mother died. I brought Sam (Samantha), Casey, Satin and Peter to live with my six cats. Casey was the first of the cats to "come around" and become friendly. He would let me pick him up and carry him around.

Casey I always called me my "neanderthal cat" because if you ran your hand down his back you could feel the ridges and his front teeth hung below his jaw. That is until the day I found them laying on the floor of the bedroom. I hauled him to the vet and by the time they were through he only had one left (to keep his tongue in). When I was late going to bed Casey would come and stand in the hallway and yowl at me until I would go to bed. It is amazing the amount of wind he would keep in his lungs and the length of the yowl. Casey I had Casey put to sleep on Christmas Eve because he was really in bad shape and .
