Missy

May 1981 to 11-21-98

Missy I was sure that Cheetah was terribly lonely after Willy died. He would walk through the house calling and calling. I decided it was time to look for a nice little companion for him.

The sister of one of the girls I work with had a couple of litters of kittens running around and she said I could come and look at them and pick one out. I arrived at the house and there were about 10 kittens running around the house.

I wanted a kitten that was eating and strong because there had been so many problems with Cheetah not being weaned properly. I found a little female in the middle of the food bowl just chomping away and knew I had found my kitten.

We went through name after name until Miss Piggy was a hit. Through the years the name changed with her developing personality. Miss Piggy became Miss Priss, became Priss, became Missy. She absolutely loved my roomer Troy and would land in his lap as soon as he sat down. He would rough her up and pound on her back loosening all the hair balls and she loved every minute of it.

She really took offense at the arrival of the kittens and hated them all her life. She would hiss at them all the time and never relaxed around them.
